Trust your Gut

Have you experienced that visceral gut feeling of dread when you have a pending decision? That gut feeling is your personal and protective function guiding you to personal choices. The gut reaction is intuitive and often thought to stem from deeply rooted personal experiences, values, and emotional states. The gut’s main function is to answer what is best for you. The standard is what is best for you to survive and thrive. When you have dread your gut is telling you are not making a resonant decision. When you sense fear trust your gut. A gut reaction can encapsulate your internal knowledge, reflecting on what an individual has learned over time about needs, and desires. When making a decision remember your first gut reaction is always what is best for you. It’s rime directive is to survive.

The Gut-Brain or the 'Me' brain:

1. The highest objective or intention: the lust for life and survival

2. The highest need: establishing personal success and safety, food, and reproduction

3. The mantra: how can I make the best of life?

4. Dominant Gut-Brain characteristics: who or what do I need to reach 'my' objectives?
